Luang Prabang Signature Tour

Early morning, we set out to watch the amazing orange line of more than 100 monks’ routine for collecting alms. This is one of the lifetime experiences you can organize offering through your hotel. Later, return to your hotel for breakfast.

Then, at 09:30, we will drive to visit the local market before heading to Ock Pop Tok, a social enterprise organization that specializes in the field of textiles, handicrafts, and design. There will also be an opportunity to try your hand at weaving and spinning on the demonstration looms and be able to meet the weavers.

From the Weaving Center, we will head out to Living Land Farm, which is located in an ideal countryside setting surrounded by mountains and nestled among old rice terraces.  Come and let us show you how rice is grown on our farm, experience the life of a rice farmer, and participate in some of the activities. Or simply enjoy it all from the comfort of our authentic Lao rice house patio. Meet some actual Lao folks and Susan, Bentley, and Betty, our buffaloes. Would you like to watch how rice is grown in the rice paddies? You may join our rice planting team and have a go! It is entertaining, informative, hands-on, and environmentally sustainable! 

Before any activities, you will have lunch at Living Land.

In the afternoon, we will visit the National Museum, which was once the home of the Laos Royal Family. It’s time for a coffee, so we walk on to the Ethnology Center to discover some of the ethnic people’s way of life in the mountains and jungles surrounding Luang Prabang and also to enjoy a break in the center’s cafe’. From here we will visit some of the most important temples in the city. Vat Xieng Thong, Vat Visoun, Vat Arham, and finally Vat Phon Phao. As the sun goes down, we will return to your hotel. Rest of the evening at leisure or on your own.
